After almost 10 years of producing the Lexus Performance Experience at the U.S. Open of golf, as a very light and bright, premium display, we got to design something totally different this year.
Leaning into their “Electrification” initiative, we designed a 50’x65’ space called the Lexus Electrified Experience, that was a dark canvas with bursts of electric color and 3 fun activations. Inside we featured 2 new Lexus vehicles, the RX 500h F Sport and the all-new, all-electric RZ 450e, a swing simulator that also provided swing tips from golf pros, a projection mapping putting experience and, as always, a super fun photo op with the U.S. Open trophy!
And, in order to streamline and simplify attendee’s participation, we utilized a registration kiosk and RFID wristbands that allowed attendees to try all 3 activations as much as they liked with just a single sign in. Participant information was collected at each activation which benefitted Lexus and the image from the trophy photo op and analysis data from the swing and putting experiences were emailed to the attendees to review and share.
