Wendy’s wanted an integrated solution to one-off custom design, build, and toss-away activations, as they are expensive, require long lead times, and waste natural resources.
Starting in 2019, The Marketing Arm (TMA), Wendy’s experiential agency, challenged ASV Experiential (ASV) to engineer and fabricate a long-term solution for Wendy’s product activations at major sporting events.ASV engineered and fabricated a long-term solution enabling activations to be revamped, resued, and reinvented using reconfigurable structural components and flexible modules.
Well-designed structures can be rearranged into new layouts repeatedly, allowing new experiences without the total expense of custom elements.
Standardized components increase adaptability and flexibility. You can quickly modify, reconfigure, and repurpose (with new graphics) to create custom experiences for each activation without the cost of custom elements.
Lightweight modular frames reduce weight and drayage costs. Well-constructed components pack into reusable crates and can accomodate miscellaneous materials, reducing the number of shipping crates for efficient nationwide or worldwide shipping.

Designing and fabricating multiple components has higher upfront costs, but being able to transform the kit through graphic reskinning across multiple years provides better ROI.
Maintaining recognizable branded elements tied to a company's visual identity across multiple activations over multiple years builds cohesion and reinforces the brand's value to visitors.
Using prefabricated modules can be resurfaced, and structural components provide long-term reuse, minimize material waste, and are inherently better for the environment than single-use materials.
